Chairman, PPT conducts Trial-run of Sewage Treatment Plants in Paradip

Paradip, (INS): Keeping in mind the long felt need of the locality, Test Trail Runs of two Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) of total approximately 4.5 Million Litres daily capacity were started in Paradip Trust by Shri Rinkesh Roy, Chairman, PPT. These two STPs are stat-of-the-art facilities and have been constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 22 Cr. The key highlights of these STPs are conversion of sewage water into manure and water that can be used for gardening and sprinkling activities. These much awaited STPs have been constructed with the technical assistance from M/s. Richardson & Cruddas (1972) Ltd., Mumbai.

This is the first phase of the integrated sanitation project which aims at improving overall sanitation through discharge of waste water after proper treatment. These two plants will become fully operational in December, 2019.
