INMATES FLED AWAY FROM AMPANI QUARANTINE CENTER

KALAHANDI, (INS):Quarantine centers are being opened in each and every Gram Panchayats to settle the out siders with free fooding. Like that at the Kalahandi Boarder Ampani a quarantine center is opened at the Tribal school at Ampani. In the night of 22nd April 25 inmates, who were the inhabitants of Papadahandi locality, fled away from the Ampani quarantine center without knowledge of authority. In the morning of 23rd April after knowing this Koksara Tahasildar and BDO rushed the spot and enquired about it. Ampani Police enquired about the matter and it is known that the said persons have reached at their native near Papadahandi locality under Nawarangpur District.
Sources said that 26 persons of Papadahandi locality had detained on 20th April during their travelling on foot at Ampani Boarder of kalahandi district. All of them including a woman had been settled at the Ampani quarantine center.
It was also alleged that only two time meals are provided to all the 64 inmates at there and other than that nothing has been given to them and so that some inmates made complains regarding fooding problems .
It was seen in the social media that in the night of 19th April 26 labourers, who were going on walking from Phulbani to their native Papadahandi, were given fooding at Bhawanipatna Bus stand by a social service organization and those labourers might have been detained at Ampani.
And it is presumed that while the home sicked labourers were returning by foot from Phulbani district towards their native Papadahandi and reached nearby their natives and so that they might have fled away to reach their native.
Out of 64 inmates after 25 fled the rest 28 were handed over to their respective GP area after formal check up and now 8 of Dhenkanal district, 2 from other blocks of kalahandi and one of Papadahandi were residing at the Ampani Quarantine center.
