Chief Secretary emphasizes on capacity enhancement of Paradip Port
Paradip, (INS): Visiting Paradip Port today, Chief Secretary, Shri Asit Tripathy emphasized on role of Paradip Port in the economic development of the State. He said, “Investment to the tune of Rs. 7,000 Crore in the ongoing projects will lead to the economic development of the State.”
He visited the state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plant. The construction of the Plant is now at pre-commissioning stage. The Chief Secretary appreciated the commitment of the Port Authority and working culture among PPT employees under the leadership of Shri Rinkesh Roy, Chairman, PPT.
Earlier, Chief Secretary was given a warm welcome on his arrival at the Wet Basin by Chairman, PPT. Thereafter, he visited the state-of-the-art Dry Fog System installed at the Mechanised Coal Handling Plant. Thereafter, he inaugurated planting of 1 lakh plant sapling and beautification of the township entry. In the evening, Shri Tripathy reviewed the activities of Paradip Port in a high level meeting, wherein Chairman, PPT Shri Roy outlined the issues and presented the updates for discussion.
