EX-MLA ANAMA NAIK UNDER VIGILANCE SCANNER
KALAHANDI, (INS): On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Anam Naik, Ex-MLA, Bhawanipatna Assembly Constituency, his (1) triple-storied building at Naktiguda of Bhawanipatna Town, (2) duplex lodge and market complex at M.Rampur Town, Dist-Kalahandi, (3) commercial building at Naktiguda, PS-Bhawanipatna Town, and (4) under construction lodge/building at Purunapada, Bhawanipatna Town were simultaneously searched today on 17.1.2020 by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.
Sri Anam Naik entered into government service as Junior Clerk in Collectorate, Kalahandi in the year 1990 and thereafter he served as such in the office of Tahasildar, Bhawanipatna and Bhawanipatna Block. He resigned from the service about 15 years back and entered into active politics. He was the MLA of Bhawanipatna Assembly Constituency from 2014 to 2019.
In course of search and inventory, Sri Anam Naik, Ex-MLA was found in possession of assets worth Rs. 3,42,99,402/- (Rupees Three Crores Forty-two Lakhs Ninety-nine Thousand Four Hundred Two). including one triple-storied building, one duplex lodge with Foreign Liquor shop, two numbers of market complexes, two numbers of single storied buildings and one garage, six numbers of plots, one tractor, two numbers of four wheelers, three numbers of two wheelers, deposits in different banks amounting over 49 lakhs, investment in insurance policies, gold ornaments and household articles as told by the vigilance authority.
As per the vigilance authority during house search, the following movable and immovable assets have been so far unearthed from the possession of Sri Naik and his family members. One triple-storied building at Naktiguda, Bhawanipatna. Worth Rs.18,47,408/-, One duplex lodge & market complex at M.Rampur, Dist-Kalahandi worth Rs. 57,59,000 /- One building located at Purunapada, Naktiguda, Bhawanipatna worth Rs.51,86,000/- Under construction lodge at Purunapada, Bhawanipatna worth Rs.19,64,223/- Two numbers of single storied buildings at Naktiguda, Bhawanipatna worth Rs.4,87,269/- One market complex at Naktiguda, Dist-Kalahandi worth Rs. 1,59,373/- One Garage house at Naktiguda, Bhawanipatna worth Rs.59,020/- Six agricultural and non-agricultural lands worth Rs.94,07,000/- One tractor worth Rs.7,00,000/- Two numbers of four wheelers (Mahindra Scorpio & Toyota Innova) worth Rs.24,00,000/- Three numbers of two wheelers (Hero Honda Splendor, Honda Activa Scooty & Suzuki motor cycle) worth Rs.1,61,000/-Deposits in different Banks worth Rs. 49,33,702/- Investment in LIC worth Rs 2,00,000/- Gold ornaments worth Rs. 80,000/- Cash Rs.13,680/- Household articles worth Rs 6,21,377/- Assets of Foreign Liquor shop at market complex M.Rampur, Dist-Kalahandi worth Rs.3,20,350/- Total Rs. 3,42,99,402/-
The total assets of Sri Anam Naik, Ex-MLA and his family members has been calculated as Rs. 3,42,99,402/- (Rupees Three Crore Forty-two lakhs Ninety-nine Thousand Four Hundred Two). The vigilance official says that the enquiry is in going on .
