Distributes 5500 glucose packets among devotees
Bhubaneswar, (INS) : JSPL Foundation, the CSR Arm of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), provided freshly cooked pure vegetarian meals, chilled drinking water and glucose packets to the devotees during the Rath Yatra Festival at Puri. In coordination with the District Administration, the Foundation provided about 1.25 Lakh freshly cooked meals, 5500 glucose packets and chilled drinking water during the grand festival.
JSPL Foundation’s Free Food Distribution service was continued on Netrostav Day on 3rd July, Rath Yatra Day on 4th July, Gundicha Yatra on 6th and 7th July, Sandhyadarshan Day on 11th July, Bahuda Yatra Day on 12th July and Sunabesha Day on 13th July, 2019 in a special stall at Bus Stand, near Gundicha Temple, Puri. Devotees from various region enjoyed the freshly cooked meals, which included rice, dalma (medley of lentil and vegetables) and khatta (condiment made from raw mangoes). People from various walks of life appreciated the efforts of JSPL Foundation in serving free food. The service was provided under the guidance of JSPL Foundation’s Co-Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal. Responding to the appreciation of JSPL Foundation’s services in social media, Smt Jindal said, “ It is all for the Wishes of Lord Jagannath, we are only His Sewaks”.
In coordination with the District Administration, the Foundation also distributed 5500 packets of Glucose among the devotees at Badadanda on Rath Yatra. In addition to these, throughout the 10 days of the festival, devotees were also served chilled drinking water from a refrigerated mobile drinking water tanker of 1000 litre capacity engaged by the Foundation. This provided uninterrupted service of drinking water to the devotees.
