PPT Observes “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”
Paradip,(INS): The Paradip Port Trust observed “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) on on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Shri Rinkesh Roy, Chairman, PPT and Heads of Departments offered floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Shri Roy administered “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge” to the employees, CISF personnel and people from various walks of life, at the Gopabandhu Stadium. Thereafter, he flagged off the “Run for Unity” comprising PPT employees, CISF Unit and people from the township. A “Walkathon” comprising volunteers of Paradip Sakshyrata Samiti was also held. The participants went around the township spreading the message of “National Unity” and to reaffirm the idea of a strong, united and resilient India.
In the afternoon, a March-past consisting of the contingents from CISF Unit, PPT, Paradip Port High School Naval NCC, Paradip College Naval NCC and students from Odisha Maritime Academy and was held commemorating the solemn occasion. The Chairman, PPT was the Chief Guest.
